Description
Virginia Cooperative Extension is providing this water quality clinic for residents in and around: Amherst County, Appomattox County, Bedford County, Campbell County, and the City of Lynchburg.
Do you have a well, spring, or cistern?
What’s in your water?
Learn about your water quality through affordable, confidential testing and become empowered to make decisions about system maintenance and water treatment! The goal of the Virginia Household Water Quality Program is to improve the water quality and health of Virginians with private water supplies, including wells, springs and cisterns.
How it works:
- Pick up your sample kit and receive collection instructions at one of our available locations. Kit pickup will occur Monday, April 1, 2024 thru Monday, April 8, 2024.
- Collect samples on designated date and drop off at one of our available locations. Sample drop off will occur on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, 7:30am - 9:00am.
- Samples are analyzed at Virginia Tech. You will receive your confidential results via email or mail approximately 6 weeks after drop off. An in person meeting or recorded video presentation will be available to help you understand your results.
