Description

This program has been rescheduled for September 2020.  Please see details below.  If you previously registered for this program, and have not cancelled, you are still registered.

Do you have a well or spring?

What’s in your water?

The Virginia Household Water Quality Program aims to improve the water quality and health of Virginians with wells, springs and cisterns. We provide affordable water testing, help interpreting their water test results, and information about addressing problems.

How does it work?

Due to COVID-19, changes have been made to this program to help ensure everyone’s safety.  Participants will receive a pre-recorded video that will be sent out explaining the pick-up and drop off procedures for the water quality kits.  Kits that are dropped off will be analyzed on the Virginia Tech campus for 14 water quality parameters.  Once analysis is complete, results and information about managing your water quality will be available for pickup.

Our Schedule:

  • Kick-Off: a pre-recorded video will be sent out prior to the kits being picked up, explaining the program and logistics.
  • Pick-up Kits: September 14th or September 15thth from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm at the VCE Office, 750 Miller Drive SE, Suite F3, Leesburg, VA 20175
  • Sample Drop Off: September 16th from 7:00 am – 10:00 am ONLY at the VCE Office 750 Miller Drive SE, Suite F3, Leesburg, VA  20175.  Drop off will follow a drive-through method, which is explained in the kick-off video.
  • Results:   Confidential results will be mailed to the VCE office and available for pick up approximately 3 weeks after the sample drop off (9/16). Specific dates TBD.  This results packet will explain the report, and provide information about dealing with water problems.
