Description

Preserve the flavors of the season while learning safe, research-based pressure canning techniques. Join Virginia Cooperative Extension for a hands-on workshop focused on preparing and pressure canning vegetable soup. Participants will gain practical experience using pressure canners and learn the principles of safe home food preservation.

Vegetable Soup Pressure Canning Workshops will be offered in three locations.  Participants must select the workshop they wish to attend during registration.

  • Safe preparation and canning of vegetable soup
  • Step-by-Step pressure canning procedures
  • Equipment recommendations and maintenance
  • Current USDA and Virginia Cooperative Extension food preservation guidelines
  • Resources for continued home food preservation

Refund Policy: No refunds beginning 7 days prior to your workshop; however, participants may send someone in their place. Any approved refunds will incur a $5 processing fee.
