Description

This program is for Chesterfield County residents only.

The Learn Your Landscape program has been developed for Chesterfield County residents who would like assistance in addressing areas of concern in their yard or in planning upcoming garden/landscape projects

Do you want to replace foundation shrubs, renovate your raised beds, address an erosion or wet area, revamp your veggie garden, install a pollinator garden, plant native plants? Or, do you just need help identifying and maintaining the plants you have or inherited in your new home? We can help!

Certified Chesterfield Master Gardener volunteers will visit your property to conduct a site evaluation with you and prepare research-based recommendations that will be provided to you along with a binder of helpful reference materials. This typically takes place between March and September at a mutually convenient time. You are required to participate in an initial on-site visit at your property with the Master Gardeners and a second visit to explain our suggestions, deliver the report and to answer any of your questions. The level of detail on the site evaluation depends on property size, landscape diversity, and homeowner goals. Initial site visits range 60-90 minutes. We will also request your permission to take pictures of your yard for our reference in creating your final report. This program does not address turf issues.
