Description
Do you have a well or spring?
What’s in your water?
The Virginia Household Water Quality Program aims to improve the water quality and health of Virginians with wells, springs and cisterns. We provide affordable water testing, help interpreting their water test results, and information about addressing problems.
How does it work?
1. Pick up your sample kit:
- Saturday, 9/13/2025, 10:00am - 11:00am at Independent Hill Library (14418 Bristow Road, Manassas, VA 20112) or
- Monday - Friday, 9/15 - 9/19, 2025, 9:00am - 4:00pm at the VCE-Prince William office (8033 Ashton Ave, Manassas, VA 20109). There will be extended hours on Wednesday, September 17, 4pm - 7pm.
2. Collect samples and drop off at 8033 Ashton Ave, Manassas, VA 20109. Drop off will occur on Wednesday, 9/24/2025, 6:30AM - 10:00am.
3. Samples are analyzed at Virginia Tech. Receive your confidential results, an explanation of what they mean, and information about addressing any problems via email about 5 weeks after the sample drop off.
