Description
Join us for the Eastern Shore Small Farm & Homesteader Workshop, which will provide attendees with information and hands-on demonstrations on fruit tree production including production basics and management, common insects and diseases in fruit tree production, hands-on budding, grafting and pruning. The workshop will consist of formal presentations and hands-on activities indoors from 8:00am to 12:00pm followed by an on-farm hands-on pruning activity at Pickett's Harbor Farms on peaches and blueberries.
This workshop is open to the public (farmer, homeowner, homesteader, etc.), but registration is required. Lunch will be provided. Please wear appropriate/warm clothing for the on-farm portion of our program. This event is rain or shine.
Morning portion located at Northampton County Community Center, 7247 Young Street, Machipongo, VA from 8:00am-12:00pm. Afternoon portion located at Pickett's Harbor Farms, 3119 Pickett's Harbor Drive, Cape Charles, VA from 1:30pm-3:00pm.

There is a $50 return check fee. If you wish to pay by cash, please bring to office located at 16392 Courthouse Rd, Eastville. Your registration is not complete until payment is received.
