Do you have a well, spring or cistern?
Learn about your water quality through affordable, confidential testing and become empowered to make decisions about system maintenance and water treatment! The goal of the Virginia Household Water Quality Program is to improve the water quality and health of Virginians with private water supplies, including wells, springs, and cisterns.
How does it work?
- Pick up your sample kit at the Pulaski County Extension Office. Kit pickup will occur on Monday, June 24, 2024, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
- Collect samples on designated date and drop off at the Pulaski County Extension Office (parking lot). Sample drop off will occur on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, 8:00am – 10:00am.
- Samples are analyzed at Virginia Tech. You will receive your confidential results via email or mail approximately 5 weeks after drop off. We are available to help answer any questions you have about your results.

If you would like to pay by cash or check, please contact the Pulaski County Extension Office at 540-980-7761 to receive registration instructions. Please note there is a $50 returned check fee. Your registration is not complete until payment has been received and processed.
