Learn about your water quality through affordable, confidential testing and become empowered to make decisions about system maintenance and water treatment! The goal of the Virginia Household Water Quality Program is to improve the water quality and health of Virginians with private water supplies, including wells, springs, and cisterns.
How does it work?
- Attend the Kickoff Informational Meeting & pick up your sample kit at the Carroll County Extension Office. The kickoff meeting and kit pickup will occur on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, 6:30pm.
- Collect samples on designated date and drop off at the Carroll County Extension Office. Sample drop off will occur on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, 7:00am – 10:00am.
- Samples are analyzed at Virginia Tech. You will receive your confidential results via email or mail approximately 5 weeks after drop off. There will be a Results Interpretation Meeting at the Carroll County Extension Office on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, 6:30pm.

Please note there is a $50 returned check fee. Your registration is not complete until payment has been received and processed.
