Description
Do you have a well, spring or cistern?
Learn about your water quality through affordable, confidential testing and become empowered to make decisions about system maintenance and water treatment! The goal of the Virginia Household Water Quality Program is to improve the water quality and health of Virginians with private water supplies, including wells, springs and cisterns.
How it works:
- Attend a Kick-Off Meeting at the Greensville/Emporia Extension office to pick up your sample kit and receive sampling instructions. There are 3 Kick-Off Meeting options (you will select your option during checkout): Monday, November 4, 2024 @ 9:00am, OR Tuesday, November 5, 2024 @ 12:00pm, OR Tuesday, November 5, 2024 @ 5:30pm.
- Collect samples and drop off at the Greensville/Emporia Extension Office. Sample drop off will occur on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, 7:30am – 9:30am ONLY. Late drop off will not be accepted.
- Samples are analyzed at Virginia Tech. Receive your confidential results, an explanation of what they mean, and information about addressing any problems via email or mail. Results will be sent around the middle of December.
