Description
Virginia Cooperative Extension is providing this water quality clinic for residents in and around: Accomack County and Northampton County
Do you have a well, spring, or cistern? What’s in your water?
The Virginia Household Water Quality Program provides education and affordable water testing and interpretation for the 1 in 5 Virginians who rely on wells, springs, and cisterns for their household water. Unlike municipal water supplies, care and maintenance of systems, routine testing, and addressing problems is solely the responsibility of the homeowners.
The Virginia Household Water Quality Program aims to improve the water quality and health of Virginians with wells, springs and cisterns. We provide affordable water testing, help interpret water test results, and provide information about addressing problems.
How it works:
- Pick up your sample kit from the Accomack or Northampton Extension Office. Kit pickup will occur on Monday, August 26, 2024, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
- Collect samples on designated date and drop off at the Accomack or Northampton Extension Office. Sample drop off will occur on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Be sure to view the provided instruction video online before collecting sample.
- Samples are analyzed at Virginia Tech. You will receive your confidential results via email or mail 4-5 weeks after the samples are dropped off.
