This pesticide recertification training course is being offered for the following commercial categories: 2 (Forest Pest Control), 3A (Ornamental Pest Control), 3B (Turf), 5A (Aquatic Pest Control), 6 (Right-of-Way Pest Control), 7A (General Pest Control), 7B (Wood-Destroying Pest Control), 7D (Vertebrate Pest Control, 10 (Research and Demonstration), and 60 (Registered Technician). We will also offer Private Applicator Recertification for Categories 90 (Food, Fiber, Forestry Products, and Commodity Production) and 91 (Ornamental Pest Control). Those who register in category 60 (Registered Technician) will be required to complete recertification training in the category(s) that best fit their area of work/pesticide use.

This virtual course is self-paced, but must be completed within the timeframe of the course schedule (June 28 - July 9, 2021). Unlike similarly offered courses, this course is "categorically specific" meaning that while we are offering a wide selection of categories for recertification (2, 3A, 3B, 5A, 6, 7A, 7B, 7D, 10, 60, 90 & 91), upon the completion of the “Legal Aspects” portion of the course which is a requirement for ALL participants seeking recertification, participants are then only required to complete the modules of training SPECIFIC to the categories of pesticides they work with. This typically results in a reduction in the total amount of time required to complete the training when compared to the usual 8 hours of training required during our in-person recertification course offerings. As part of the course, all participants will be monitored and required to view videos and take quizzes to determine proper engagement and appropriate amount of time spent with the course material to satisfy VDACS recertification credit criteria.

Because this course is virtual with access given through an emailed VCE Canvas guest account invitation upon registration and confirmation of enrollment, all participants must register for the course with individualized data (one email per registrant - no duplicate email usage).

Registration payment can be made by cash, check, money order or credit card. All credit card payments must take place through this portal with participants registered one at a time. If you prefer group registration, or require cash/check/M.O. payment options, please make check/M.O payable to "Treasurer of VA Tech" and send with the 2021 CAR Training Brochure, and (if applicable) the 2021 CAR Training Additional Group Registration Table to:
