Do you have a well, spring or cistern?

Learn about your water quality through affordable, confidential testing and become empowered to make decisions about system maintenance and water treatment!  The goal of the Virginia Household Water Quality Program is to improve the water quality and health of Virginians with private water supplies, including wells, springs and cisterns.

This event is being co-sponsored with the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District and the John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation District.

How does it work?

  1. Attend the Kickoff Meeting on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, 6:30pm to learn more information about this program, and pick up your sample kit.  The Kickoff Meeting will be held at American Legion Hall, 11420 James Madison Hwy, Remington, VA  22734.
  2. Collect samples on designated date and drop off at your local county VCE Office* (Culpeper, Fauquier, or Rappahannock).  Sample drop off will occur on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, 7:00am – 9:00am ONLY.
  3. Samples are analyzed at Virginia Tech. Obtain your results at the Follow-Up Meeting on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, 6:30pm.  The Follow-up Meeting will be held at American Legion Hall, 11420 James Madison Hwy, Remington, VA  22734.

To pay with a check, please mail your check made payable to Treasurer of Virginia Tech and include “Culpeper Well Water Test Clinic” in the memo line of your check. Checks should be mailed to VCE-Culpeper Office, 101 S. West St., Culpeper, VA 22701. Please note, there is a $50 service fee for any returned checks. Your registration is not complete until payment has been received.
