Description
The Kids' Tech University (KTU) program is different from other kids' programs because it puts real researchers in front of children to give exciting interactive sessions on those infamous "why" questions that have always intrigued children. The goal is to get them excited about science and technology through investigating a broad array of topics. Through the program, kids can envision themselves as scientists, the true explorers and adventurers of the 21st century.
Kids’ Tech University is a first-come, first-served program that is open to children ages 9 through 12 (as of September 30, 2024). KTU is open to all children meeting the age requirement, regardless of place of residence or academic achievement, and can accommodate up to 160 children for the In-Person program.
We strive to create a "university feel" that includes children attending an interactive session (lecture) with their peers in a university lecture hall. This lecture will be fed into another room for parents to enjoy. After the lecture, parents will pick up their child(ren), take them to lunch at Owens Food Court, and then return for the afternoon hands-on activities.
Information about the day will be emailed 1 week before the program date. You will receive information about the program the Monday before the event date. If you do not receive an agenda, please email Dr. Kristy Collins.
When you register your child for Kids' Tech University you are enrolling them to attend ALL FOUR of the program dates. Program dates are Jan. 25, Feb. 22, March 22 and April 5, 2025.
