What’s In Your Water? Do you have a well, spring, or cistern?

Learn about your water quality through affordable, confidential testing and become empowered to make decisions about system maintenance and water treatment!  The goal of the Virginia Household Water Quality Program is to improve the water quality and health of Virginians with private water supplies, including wells, springs and cisterns.

How does it work?

  1. Pick up your sample kit at the Fairfax County VCE Office.  Kit pickup will occur on Monday, September 9, 2024, 4:00pm - 7:00pm OR Tuesday, September 10, 2024, 7:00am - 10:00am.
  2. Collect samples on designated date and drop off at the Fairfax County VCE Office.  Sample drop off will occur on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, 6:00am – 9:30am ONLY.
  3. Samples are analyzed at Virginia Tech. Results will be emailed or mailed about 5 weeks after drop off.  A Zoom interpretation meeting will occur on October 23 at 7pm.  Zoom interpretation meeting details will be emailed to all registrants.
