4-H Summer Camp for youth ages 9-13.
July 29th - August 2nd, 2024

Classes may include: Environmental Science, Archery, Riflery, Canoeing, Swimming, Sports and Games, Leather Crafts, Challenge Course, and more!
4-H Camp Overview:
We know how important camping is during normal times. Campers learn and grow from the experience of spending time with friends in a unique camp setting. They develop new friendships, spend time away from home, learning independence among many other life skills. They experience the joy of summer camp and the personal growth that comes with it. We see then need for camp more than ever. Join us this year as we make memories at 4-H Camp!
4-H Camp is for youth turning 9 before September 30, 2024, through age 13. Youth ages 14-19 serve as teen leaders and play an important role working with your camper. Adult volunteers and staff members lead programs and provide additional supervision.
*A waitlist will be created once we reach our camp capacity.
Camper:
Total Camper Cost: $375.00
Non-Refundable Deposit to Reserve Camp Spot: $75.00 (deducted from total cost)
There is a $5 price break for the second child in the same immediate family.
The last day to make payment in full is June 15, 2024. No late payments after June 15, 2024, will be allowed!
Counselors and CIT's: Teens age 14-19 are eligible to apply to volunteer as camp counselors no later than February 29th, 2024.
Cost:
Non-Refundable Deposit: $75.00
CIT Total Cost: $350.00 ($275.00 after $75.00 deposit)
Counselor Total Cost: $300.00 ($225.00 after $75.00 deposit)
Discounts:
FIRST: The first 20 campers to register on March 1, 2024 will receive a $20.00 discount off their fee.
FRIEND: Any camper that brings a friend NEW to 4-H camp that also registers and pays their deposit for camp within the camp sign-up week (March 1-5, 2024) will receive an additional $10.00 off their camp fee.
MULTI: Any family can receive a $5 discount for second or third child that registers for camp.
REMINDER: Discounts will be credited after registration, deposit and enrollment are complete.
Payments:
To register you can pay in full or pay the non-refundable deposit of $75.00. Monthly payments can be made until paid in full by June 15, 2024.
Credit Card payments can be made on this website at any time until paid in full. Cash (exact change), Check or Money Order payments can be made, Monday - Friday, 8-5 at the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office at 105 Oak Street in Emporia, VA. Payments accepted until paid in full or by June 15,2024.
Partial Scholarships:
If you are a family that needs financial assistance to attend summer camp, please contact Hannah Parker at hdp2513@vt.edu. Partial scholarships are available for Greensville/Emporia youth ONLY! Please note that financial aid is limited this year. The non-refundable camp deposit must paid and the scholarship application completed before scholarships are awarded.
Refund Policy:
Full Refund of paid amount, minus non-refundable deposit until June 15, 2024. Refunds are issued through Virginia Tech and may take up to 4-6 weeks to process.
$75.00 registration deposit, credits and Scholarships are non-refundable
No refunds after June 15, 2024, except under the following conditions:
If your program at the 4-H Educational Center is cancelled by us, or by the state or federal government, fees will be fully refunded.
